When was the last time you shook your neighbor’s hand or gave them a great big hug? How about visit someone in a nursing home or hospital? Do you know someone in prison? Have you visited them or wrote them a letter lately? When was the last time that you took the time to say that you appreciated someone? When was the last time that you told someone that you appreciate someone else? When was the last time that you told someone that you love what they do? When was the last time that you encouraged someone with your kind words?

Making life choices can sometimes be looked at in the same perspective as picking a pair of shoes to wear. Before anyone decides to show me the bottom or the tip of their shoe because of the comparison, you should look at the shoes that I am wearing today.

Cops and Robbers by Emmanuel Brown of SeeingGrowth.com

I cannot help but reminisce on the times of playing childhood games and I always remember one game in particular…”Cops and Robbers”. The reason that this game is stuck in my mind is because none ever wanted to be the cop and I see the same game being played out in real life by our children on a daily basis. Our children don’t want to be with or for the law, they want to be against it and do not seem to realize that they will always lose the game.

Each move that we make matters and gets us closer to some destination, so we should chose to move wisely since we will have to deal with results of the moves that we make. No one can honestly say that they make only correct decisions, but we can all say that we have the opportunity to think about most decisions before we make them and have a little more control over the outcomes that we see.
